For the past few years, our club's major project in Galesburg has been supporting the youth in our area schools with the RIF project. At least twice a year, the Galesburg Noon Rotary Club supplies books for school students that they can have to read and keep for their very own. Not only is it an important project in attracting students to read and improve their reading skills, but in some cases, these may be the only books that the students can call their own. The students choose their own book from a large selection which the club provides. Galesburg Rotary Club members participate in these distributions and it is fun for both the students and the Rotarians involved. We all agree that this is a most worthwhile project for the youth in our area.
The following is a QuickTime movie of one of the book distributions at an area elementary school.
